NOV/ DEC 2013
Following the release of ‘King’ last month and his last national tour in July, Perth indie-pop-tronic artist Carl Fox will be sippin’ Kool-Aid and flippin’ pom-poms across Australia with his six-piece band during November/December to promote the new record.
The five-track collection of songs, which were written in Carl’s home studio and recorded and mixed with Matt Gio at Studio Couch and mastered by Ben Feggans at Studios 301; have already been garnering much love. Sydney station FBi 94.5 added the record to B rotation, Triple J’s Lewis McKirdy played the title track over consecutive weeks on Lunch with Lewi, Triple J’s Sound Lab spun ‘Slipped’, and Perth’s RTRFM 92.1 made it their local feature, saying:
“Upbeat pop with a cheeky smile and a spring in it’s step – Carl Fox have come up with a cracker of an EP with King. Sprightly, buoyant and full of charm, Carl Fox create party tunes for indie kids with more than a little bit of R’N‘B swag thrown in for good measure.”
Sydney blog ‘Acid Stag’ gave their readers an exclusive early, UK blog ‘Best In New Music’ said “King is up there with the best EP's you'll hear this year”, The Drum Media (Perth) awarded it EP of the Week, and Triple J’s Dave Ruby Howe said, “Carl - don't ever change. Everyone will catch up to what you're doing eventually.”
Carl Fox released his debut album ‘Chunky Rainbow’ in 2010 and since then has played a ton of festivals and shows including Parklife (2011), St Jeromes Laneway Festival (2011), One Movement Festival (2010) and Northbridge Festival (2010), and has supported the likes of Flume, Rufus, Miami Horror, Tim & Jean, Purple Sneakers DJs, Amy Meredith and Strange Talk.

Simply put, there is no hotter UNDERGR☢UND act in the world right now than FLOSSTRADAMUS.
Leading the worldwide domination of trap, 2012's "IT" genre, this Chicago-based duo (J2K and Autobot) site influences as diverse as Prince, Cat Stevens, Beastie Boys and Daft Punk and have released some of the year's biggest tunes on the Mad Decent and Fools Gold imprints.
From the chillingly twisted Lana's Theme, to the tasty re-workings of Usher's monster hit Climax (with Diplo) and Major Lazer's anthem Original Don, and arguably this year's biggest collab with star-in-the-making Baauer (Roll Up), one thing is dayummmmmmmmm obvious, 2012 belongs to FLOSSTRADAMUS.
And proving that sometimes the best things in life really are FREE, the duo have been systematically taking over the Internet one release at a time with a slew of ridiculously insane originals - UNDERGR☢UND ANTHEM, B⚠NNED, TEST ME. In fact, there was so much heat on the release of the free X☮ EP that they actually broke Twitter. Yes, poor Twitter couldn't cope with the demand :-)
If you've ever wondered why there's a legion of young hoodie boyz n girlz screaming "run the trap" and "damn son, where'd you find this?", well, now you know.
Need we say more? The sound of the next generation is here.
