The Immigrant

This work is intended to read as a biography of a real person.

Born and raised in regional Australia, The Immigrant has travelled the world as citizen of the universe, destroying dance floors worldwide under a secret spin-off. Since this biography is about the order in which The Immigrant experiences events, exact dates aren't as critical as they would be in a history or chronology, though they are given wherever possible. Stay with us now if you will…

For stories set on contemporary Earth, we have assumed that the events occurred shortly before The Immigrants original broadcast date unless compelling evidence indicates otherwise. For stories set in the past, we will assume the events took place at the same time as they did in our own history, again provided that no evidence suggests otherwise.

Emerging as one of a new breed of deviant electronic artists to come out of the depths of Germany, you could be fooled into thinking the Immigrant was a fresh face on the scene, his projects including early worldwide travels and encrypted musical releases were all part of his Academy training, and following graduation he had further adventures across the world, leading him to a passport stamped beyond the point of recognition, but with no way home.

Now The Immigrant is ready to come home and we need YOUR help!

But before we look at bringing him home, let's look at his djing credentials, a list which includes performances at the legendary terrace at Space, Sonar festival in Barcelona, to tours of the UK and Eastern Europe. As far as possible, we have included only those facts gleaned during our own viewings of him. Sometimes there is no way to explain discrepancies in his background, I've highlighted these speculations in red letters for you to see clearly.

Born and raised under the vast blue Australian skies before emigrating to Germany, The Immigrant is no stranger to the foreign and unaccustomed. Regularly based in Erfurt, a small city in the former East Germany, seemingly cut off from the typical music hotspots like Berlin and Hamburg, the lack of outside inspiration, and also the lack of  distraction has been pivotal in the development of The Immigrants unique sound. A daunting tutelage for anyone, but one which has solidified his resilience. Whilst we gradually learn more about The Immigrant, you may be mislead into believing he is actually human, a musical time traveller as such.

A product of the hard school of the German electronic music scene, you can expect absolutely nothing listless and limp from The Immigrant. With a no nonsense outlook best described by the quote, "Hey there all you middle men, throw away all your fancy clothes, get off your ass and get down here!"

The Immigrant has travelled the world to come together with dynamic Australian cult singer songwriter,  Danny Ross to produce The Immigrants debut single 'Estranged', and the synchronicity between the pair is immediately apparent. The end result has already been described as 'a bludgeoning and luminous opener and an ominous sign of whats to come from The Immigrant.

Where in the world is The Immigrant today and how long until he's home?
